Dear Persimoni – 3 months…

pip-3 months

My friend and fellow blogger, Kate writes these great letters to her boys.  I always think they are something fabulous but haven’t had time to write them for my girls.  I think it’s finally time.  I know I’ve missed Cedi’s first 4 years and Capri’s first 3 but I can start with Pip and try to keep it up.  Pip will miss out on things her sisters got and she didn’t (like TONS of pictures and new clothes) so this is something special I can start for her right away.  Hopefully I can keep it up.

Dear Persimoni,

You are three months today.  I’ll admit, the first few months I was a bit overwhelmed by you.  You ate A LOT!  I still look back and I can’t believe how much sitting on the chair or couch I spent nursing you.  I wouldn’t trade it for the world though. You are a happy, healthy, plump (well, at least the plumpest of our three girls), little girl.  And SO Strong!  The other day you were having some tummy time and you manage to scoot forward a bit (well…maybe half and inch – but still you scooted!).  I sit you up near me and you can prop yourself up with your arms and you love sitting and chilling in the Bumbo.

You spend a lot of time in the swing – both sleeping and awake – for two reasons.  1.  You like it in there and 2.  it protects you from your sisters.  They love you so much but sometimes they love you a little too much and having you off the ground keeps you safer.

I love to snuggle you and play with you.  You don’t sit in my lap much anymore – instead you prefer to stand.  We just have to smile at you and you give us a big, beautiful, toothless and contagious smile back.

Overall, you’ve become a pretty easy baby.  You cry when you’re hungry, tired or being ignored (which would be when you’re awake riding in your car seat – traveling is not super fun right now…).  All easy things to fix (except the traveling bit) and then you’re back to being my beautiful, happy baby.  You’re still not sleeping super amazingly – up between 2 and 3 and then again around 5 or 6.  It could be way worse though so I’m not complaining.

I look at you and my heart melts.  My stomach drops and I fall in love with you more and more each time.  I can’t wait to watch you grow and develop into even more of your own little person.

I love you Persimoni, my little Piptini,

Mom

  1. What a beautiful letter! I'm so glad you did this :) BUT! There is no way Pip is already 3 months..how is that possible??!!

Who do you think Pip looks like? When the picture loaded up I was struck with, wow, she looks just like Kim.
