Holidays through the Eyes of Children – Christmas Lights

Last night we went into Madison to do a little Christmas shopping.  It was dark when we drove home and every time we drove by Christmas lights the girls would both shout out ‘Christmas Lights!’  I’m sure you can only imagine how quiet of a ride we had.

We do live in the country though so there were some lull’s in the screams.  After one of those particular lulls, I hear Cedi go, “Woah, look at that Christmas Light PARTY!”  The house and yard we drove by was completely decked out in lights and it looked so festive and beautiful.  With a 5 and 3 year old this year, I am loving remembering what the ‘simpler’ parts of the Christmas season feel like.

I also have a feeling that the girls are going to convince Papa that we need a ‘Christmas Light Party’ at our place next year :)
