I’m really excited to be a part of the Quilting Gallery’s big Celebrate Back to School’s Blog Hop Party.  If this is your first time here I just want to welcome you to my blog!  I’ll just give you a quick overview of the major things that happen on here: (and yes – I will ship internationally…)

Project QUILTING

The biggest thing that happens on my blog is ‘Project QUILTING’.  To find out more about Project QUILTING click HERE.  Season 4 is tentatively scheduled to start in January of 2013 (sorry for the wait…it’s apple season!)

Challenges

I love a good challenge!  And if it’s at all possible for me to squeeze it in – I will.  The latest quilt I finished from a scrap challenge is here:

Amazing Tehcnicolor Dream Scrap Quilt

Amazing Technicolor Dream Quilt

Home Sweet Home Quilt Along

Earlier in 2012 I hosted the Home Sweet Home Quilt Along.  I should have my quilt finished and ready to share with you all in the next few weeks.  It’s not too late to go back and use the block tutorials to make your very own quilt!

Quilt Alongs

I fell so in love with quilt alongs in 2011 that I am currently working on seven all at the same time!  I update either weekly or biweekly of my progress on them.  You can see my latest post HERE.

Etsy

I’m an avid seller (PersimonDreams and TheApple)  and supporter on etsy so I do post tips/tricks/tutorials to help you on your way to be a successful etsy seller.  I also enjoy featuring great items I find on there.
Family and Orchard

Kim Lapacek and family Jared Mercedi Capri and PersimoniI do have separate blogs for my family and orchard (yes, I own an apple orchard) but sometimes the news is just too great I can’t help but to share it on here too!

  113. Your quilts are just gorgeous and picking one as my favorite is really tough. I LOVE purple so the Quilted table Runner with the gold/yellow and the eggplant purple really caught my eye. I LOVE that. BUT, the Heirloom Quilt Modern Sampler with the Grey, lime gree, pink, and yellow is my favorite. I just love all those colors and the quilt is just beautiful. I know with those bright colors my 6 month old Granddaughter who is living here with us right now along with her parents, would love that one too. While holding her when wearing my bathrobe which is purple and has some beautiful bright pink flowers she is always trying to grab those bright pink flowers off my robe. LOL

Thank you for the awesome giveaway.
How is the apple orchard this year? Do you have a lot of apples or did the weather reduce your crop like those near us? It might be fun to take a nice Fall drive up to your orchard since it's under a 2 hr drive if I can recover soon from a health problem I'm deaing with right now. I LOVE visiting the orchards this time of the year. I've never missed a year yet going to at least one orchard and usually more than one. This very well might be my first year though which is really bumming me out a lot. I can't recall ever my entire life NOT going to the orchard and that was even after having my first child. He went to the orchard when he was just 2 weeks old.

  114. I've signed up for your newsletter now. I thought I was before but possibly not. I was following along on your quilt along for awhile although it was to read and study the different blocks, not make them.

  115. Thanks for all your wonderful words about my quilts! I so appreciate it!

Our orchard is 'okay' this year. We definitely lost a lot of apples with the crazy spring weather BUT what we do have we're selling out of our farm store. We're adding lots of special events and 'fun' things so hopefully our customers don't feel the loss like we are. I hope you recover soon and can come! If you do be sure you introduce yourself to the lady behind the counter - it will probably be me!

    Take care!
