Project QUILTING Winners–Public Vote and Random Drawing

Happy Saturday all!  I’m in a major sewing mode – trying to get a lot of projects done so I can start focusing on my taxes.  I know – sewing first, then taxes…I have my priorities straight, huh?   But seriously, it would be really hard to focus on my taxes if I have all these project ideas floating around in my head.  Anyway – I figured I’d better take a bit of a break from the sewing machine so I could share with you the winners from the First Project QUILITING Challenge.

I’ll start with the Public Vote Winner!

Congrats to Shout4Joy who received the most votes for her gorgeous ‘Egret’ Quilt.  Read about how she made her quilt here.

Shout4Joy will be excitedly finding ONE mini bundle of Aurifil Thread in her mailbox at some point next week!

Now – onto the winners of the Random Drawing Prizes.

Each season I write all the names of those who participated in the challenge on slips of paper and put them into my favorite hat for my kids to draw the winners from.    I have very sad news about my favorite hat.  I’ll save you from the gory details of the hats demise but it involves spilled milk and certain children not telling us about the spilled milk.

So – I had to pick a new hat for the drawing.  I have one for today…I make switch it next week…but for this drawing…here’s the hat.

I know…it’s not as cool as my old hat…but it did work for today’s drawing.

I wrote all 41 quilter’s names onto sheets of paper

and put them in the hat.  The hat was shaken multiple times.

Today – our winner picker’s are …

Persimoni (aka Pip)

and Capri.  Cedi had a sleepover at her friends house last night so she was unavailable to draw a winner.
