My 2014 Quilting Life In Review

With 2015 looming it’s time to take a look back at 2014.  I’m going to restrict this particular look back to what happened to me in my quilting life (at this point … there may be some adorable kiddo pictures to come …)

In March not only did I get to meet Nancy Zieman of Sewing with Nancy but I was interviewed for a segment of her show!  The show later aired in September – see it HERE

In March, I also took a road trip with my friend Trisha, aka QuiltChicken, to spend a lovely weekend  at the Woodland Ridge Retreat where lots of wonderful sewing and debauchery was completed.  me and ricky

While I was there, my quilts were hanging in a quilt show in Belleville, WI, and was thrilled to find out that my quilt, “Once Upon a Time” took home the Viewer’s Choice award from the show!me on the phone

At the end of October I hopped on a bus with a group of lovely ladies and took a journey to Houston for the International Quilt Festival.  It was an inspiring and humbling experience that I hope to experience again.

And to end the year … I received an email that informed me that my quilt ‘Propelled Pixels’ was accepted into the 2015 QuiltCon show and it will be on display in Austin, TX at the end of February.

I would say that overall – it was a good quilting year!  And with that I’ll toast to an even better one in 2015!
