some quilting fun

I have a couple of things I’d like to share with you that I’m excited about in the quilting world.  First …  Michele Foster of the Quilting Gallery has a new ‘Aiming for Accuracy’ Quilt Along.  I’m a big support of quilt along as I really do feel it helps hone one’s piecing skills.  If you can piece properly there’s nothing left to hold you back!

aiming for accuracy

I’ve followed many of Michele’s block tutorials in the past and I guarantee you won’t be frustrated, confused or disappointed!  Even if you are a beginning quilter – the gorgeous quilt you see above is achievable!  There’s also an active facebook group for any additional questions or situations you may come across.  Not only will you end this quilt along with a beautiful quilt but you’ll have a great new network of fellow quilting friends!

Go HERE to sign up for this quilt along today so you don’t miss out on a minute of fun!

The other things I wanted to share with you are some new books that are available for pre-order at the Fat Quarter Shop.

winter wonderland book

The first book is Winter Wonderland by Sherri Falls of This & That Pattern Company

This book has instructions for 12 cozy Christmas projects including 9 quilts, 2 table runners, and a tree skirt. If you pre-order today, you’ll receive an exclusive Mini Nordic noel Sampler pattern for free!

farm girl vintage

The second book available for pre-order is Farm Girl Vintage by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet.

This book includes complete instructions for 45 sampler blocks in two sizes (6” and 12”), 10 quilts, 2 table runners, a table topper, and a potholder. If you pre-order, you’ll receive the Canning Season pattern!  This book is 100% my style!  I LOVE sampler’s and I live on an apple orchard/farm!  A perfect fit!  Check out more info on the blog post here

I hope you check all of these things out and find some new inspiration!
