The South Central Wisconsin Quilt Shops presents “Celebrate the Heart of Quilting”

I’m probably going to shock many of you right now.  This is my very first time ever participating in a shop hop.  That’s right – I’ve never done it before! But this shop hops theme is near and dear to my heart and I’m excited to go visiting new places.

The South Central Wisconsin Quilt Shops put together a February ‘Celebrate the Heart of Quilting’ shop hop

This year's Road Trip held during the month of February will be a month of red and white quilting, heart healthy recipes and patterns. There are so many wonderful choices in the world of quilting--an ever-expanding array of patterns, techniques, fabrics and great local shops!  We hope you'll join us as we take this opportunity to show each of YOU each of OUR shop's best offerings!

Through your trip you'll discover new and old ideas in patterns, books, and the latest notions.  You'll be exposed to fabrics ranging from heirloom reproduction prints and homespun plaids to the boldest batiks and trendiest prints. Our shops will be fully staffed with experienced quilters, so you'll find the assistance you need choosing color and fabrics.  Our samples, kits and fabric bundles will inspire you to create your own heirloom.  We will be featuring red and white fabrics so you can begin to plan your seasonal projects.

We've made a real effort to make this trip as simple as possible for each of you.  This year the road trip will start on Sunday, February 1, and go through Saturday, February 28, so you will have 28 days to complete the trip.  By visiting all eleven participating shops (and having your passport stamped), you'll be eligible for prizes.

So collect you friends, drive the mini-van, hop on your skis or snowmobile, or come by yourself--you're sure to have a fun and educational experience by joining us for our 17th Annual Quilter's Shop Hop.

This is such a fitting Shop Hop as February is American Heart Month.  I am an advocate for raising awareness for women’s heart health and I look forward to visiting these shops, learning even more about this disease and ways to prevent it, and of course, picking up some great patterns and fabric along the way.

Here is the list of participating shops.  (I’ve already visited 3!)

Let’s see how many I’ll get to!!!  Wish me luck!
