Gardenvale Dresden Neighborhood

When it was first announced that Jen Kingwell had a line of fabric coming out – Gardenvale – I was on the pre-order list.  It worked out perfectly since it was scheduled to be delivered in April so I marked it off as a birthday gift to myself!

I had a lovely photoshoot with my fat quarter bundle and this was my favorite picture from camera … although I did get a great instagram shot too!

Okay, okay … it’s like I’m a proud mama.  I really like these shots of my fabric bundle too!  I just may have found the perfect new spot to do my fabric photo shoots.

I have a few plans for this special bundle.  The first of which is another Dresden Neighborhood Mini Quilt.  I just loaned my original Dresden Neighborhood to my local Quilt Shop – Mill House Quilts.  I’ll be teaching a class on this project there on July 22nd!  I can’t wait!

And here she is!  My next Dresden Neighborhood Mini Quilt!  I used four different fabrics from Pat Sloan’s fabric line “The Sweet Life” for the background of the neighborhood. Gardenvale Dresden Neighborhood Quilt

Find out about how just a little bit of Heat n Bond Fusible can turn a traditional quilt into a whimsical quilt over at Thermo-Web’s blog HERE

Have I told you all the big news yet?  I’m officially a designer for Therm-o-web!  I’m so excited for this opportunity!  It is truly a great match as I’ve been using and loving Heat N Bond fusibles since I learned how to raw edge applique!

And … the best picture for last.  My “Gardenvale Dresden Neighborhood Mini Quilt” hanging on Karmen Lindner Photography’s bike prop with a patchwork seat and my blossoming orchard in the background!  Perfection!

  1. Hi Kim,
Great post, and congratulations on the news! Pictures are fab and the quilt is really one of my favorites of yours. Looks lovely in your orchard, especially with that cute bike!
