Prepare for Project QUILTING

Season 9 of Project QUILTING will be here before you know it!  It’s time to start preparing your space and tools for the first challenge on January 7th.  Here’s a list of a few things you should do to get ready.

1.  Change the blade on your rotary cutter. It’s amazing how much better they cut when they’re fresh!

2. Follow the Project QUILTING Facebook page.

3. Tune up your sewing machine – change the needle, oil if necessary.  Make sure it’s running smoothly so it doesn’t hold you back – no excuses!

4.  Join the Challenge Quilt Group so you have a place to discuss ideas, ask for advice, and simply get to know a bunch of fellow quilters who love challenges just as much as you.

5.  Prepare some frozen dinners so you don’t have to worry about cooking a night or two during challenge week.

6. Sign up for Persimon Dreams’ newsletter so you don’t miss a challenge!

7. Finish any puzzles you’ve started so you can focus on the challenge.

8.  Follow me @PersimonDreams on Instagram and the hashtag #projectquilting so you get to see what everyone’s working!  Not on instagram yet?  Sign up here!

9.  Clean off your cutting board.  It’s time to pick up all the other projects you’re working on and make some space for challenge week.  As you can see … I have a lot of work to do.

10. Do you have any WIP’s on your design wall?  Take the next few days to finish it up so your design wall is ready for trying out Project QUILTING Challenge ideas.

11. Tell everyone you know that Season 9 of Project QUILTING starts on January 7th!  The more people that participate the more fun everyone has!

  1. Check, check and check....I am ready to go!
