Here are six link ups below – one for each of the season 8 challenges.

Project QUILTING Season 8 Grand Prize Winner!

It’s been an incredible 8th season of Project QUILTING! Seriously – you all amaze me!  Thank you to everyone for joining in this season!  Even though we didn’t get 800 quilts made in season 8 we DID have 711 quilts made in season 8!  YES!!!  OVER 700 quilts during the course of six one week challenges – absolutely mind blowing!

219 people participated in at least once challenge this season.  51 of those folks completed ALL SIX Season 8 Challenges!

And a pretty cool statistic … since the inception of Project QUILTING in 2010 – 2,200 quilts have been completed for the challenges.

There’s still one more name to draw before it comes to an end – the Grand Prize Winner!

Of course – I’m going to make you wait just a minute more before I post who it is.  Let’s see what our sponsors have donated to make this amazing!!!

Hi everyone!  Earlier this evening the girls and I did a live drawing for the prize winners.  I actually went back and watched it – Pip wore a duck/chicken hat and Capri and Merecedi were not shy.  I have to admit … I laughed through it!

If you want to see it I accidently posted it on the PersimonDreams page instead of the Project QUILTING page but it’s out there!

But if you don’t want to see the hilariousness of my life … here is the overview of all the winners!

3. Please remember that these projects need to be created during the week of the challenge (started on or after March 12, finished by March 19).
4. Your project does not need to be a traditional quilt, but must meet at least one of these requirements:

  • Include patchwork.
  • Include appliqué.
  • Have 3 layers stitched together by hand or machine. 55meter

5. Link up a blog post, flickr image, instagram post, or public facebook post to the linky at the bottom of THIS PAGE by Sunday, March 19, 2017, at noon CDT. Alternately, you may email the picture and description to {lapaceksorchard at gmail dot com} with PROJECT QUILTING in the subject line by 11am on Sunday, March 19. Yes - that deadline is one hour earlier because it requires more work for Kim (which she is FINE with). expiration date
When you create your PQ entry's blog post or instagram or flickr image, please include:

  • a description of your creative process,
  • the overall size of your project (it's so hard to tell in a picture!)
  • where you are (ie, I create in Lodi WI)

If you decide to just directly upload your image to the link up party please email Kim {lapaceksorchard at gmail dot com} this information so she can share it with everyone else.
