Week 3 of the Perfect 10 Quilt Along–Coffee and Cookie Dough

Doesn’t that sounds like a great breakfast – coffee and cookie dough!?  Well – that’s the next two blocks that are up for Week 3 of the Perfect 10 Quilt Along which shows off the blocks from the new Perfect 10 Quilt book.

For the quilt along we were asked to make 2 coffee blocks … Coffe Block 1 by Kim Lapacekhere’s my first

and here’s my second.  When they go side by side in the final layout it will create a fun chevron-esque design (if you squint your eyes and imagine it anyway …).  I promise that will make more sense once you see these in the final layout.Cookie Dough Unit by Kim Lapacek

And my single cookie dough block.  I just love the combination of orange and aubergine (aka purple).

I’m so happy on how the ombre confetti metallic Aubergine by V and Co for Moda Fabrics is working out.  I can finally just buy yardage of ONE fabric instead of a bunch of yards of different fabrics to get a scrappy look.  Which won’t stop me completely from buying lots of different fabrics but it’s definitely a great solution when I don’t want to think to hard about what’s going where!

Find out how you can join in the fun HERE and be sure to see what the other participants are using for their fabrics in this fun quilt!
