Weekend Update

So many great things have happened this last week, are happening this weekend, or will be starting soon.  I figured I would just do a little update post so you don’t miss any of it!

Desert to Sea: 10 Quilts from Australian Designers

A good blogging friend of mine, Jane Davidson, recently self published her own book

Desert to Sea: 10 Quilts from Australian Designers.  Her self and 7 other Australian designers share with you 10 different quilts that they’ve designed and made.  My copy arrived today and I was so excited to open the box!  The cover is amazing and the inside did not disappoint!

I am having a hard time which one I want to start first once I have a few minutes … I’m thinking it’s this one designed by Jane herself!  It’s put together so cleverly … but you’ll have to buy the book yourself if you want to find out how!

Another book arrived at my house today …

Simply Color: Yellow: A Crayon Box for Quilters

And … I’m pretty sure I’m using Yellow on my Monkey Wrench inspired quilt for the ‘Focus Through the Prism’ challenge so I’m super excited to be learning/reading more about it!
